Objectives
Our objectives relate to the purpose and central theme of educating the Christian to make his life distinctively Christian. General objectives is for the graduate to be
- academically and intellectually competent in his chosen field of study;
- knowledgeable and capable of rightly dividing the Word and truth of God in biblical studies;
- equipped to bring the gospel message to the world through a testimony in character and example.
Specifically, the four following educational objectives will be met by seminary and graduate students:
- Biblical The student will be provided with knowledge of the Bible in line with the Articles of Faith, and the skills necessary to communicate the inspired Word of God, which is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” 2 Tim. 3:16-17.
- Academic The student will be
provided
educational training from
a biblical perspective which will be
- practical in application;
- experiential in nature;
- designed to make the student competent and prepared in his field.
- Spiritual The student will be provided
with spiritual leadership
and
experience to increase his dedication
to Jesus Christ.
- The student will be able to share Christ to others and the world.
- The student will be grounded in biblical teaching regarding the God-ordained institutions of the home, church, and government.
- The student will be provided training which promotes biblical morality.
- Cultural The student will be provided
with the opportunities to
cultivate
- a sensitivity to the spiritual needs of the world;
- a commitment to the Christian way of life; and
- a desire to serve the community.
